Visitors bookmark this site because they have to write something and they have a quick question -for instance, should they use everyday (one word) or every day (two words). What's the difference? (answer) The important thing is to find the answer fast and keep on writing. I've tried to make the pages load quickly, the words easy to locate, and the sentence examples clear.
This isn't a very big dictionary. My goal is not to include every word in the English language. I've tried to include common words that any student, business person, blogger, or contributor to online forums, writing in U. S. English, might need. Some of the items aren't really homophones at all, they're just words that are commonly confused for each other, like among and between.
